Processor rate guide: published Canadian rates.

What the major processors actually publish — with sources and check dates on every figure. No rankings, no verdicts: just the numbers, so you can do the comparison yourself.

How this guide was built. Every figure below comes from our vendor research dated 2026-09-30. Each number was checked against at least two independent sources (the processor's own site plus an independent source) before being printed here. Processors that publish no rates get a "quote-based — no published rate" badge instead of a guessed number. Figures are re-verified quarterly — if a number here is older than that, treat it as a starting point and ask the processor for current pricing.

Flat-rate pricing

One fixed percentage plus a fixed per-transaction amount on every sale. Simple — and the easiest to compare. Unfamiliar with the vocabulary? See the glossary.

Interchange-plus pricing

Interchange and network fees passed through at cost, plus a fixed processor markup. The markup is the only part the processor controls — which makes it the easiest model to audit.

Quote-based pricing

These processors publish no Canadian rates — pricing is negotiated per merchant. The honest comparison here isn't a published number; it's your own statement (see how to read it).
