Your processor cannot charge you less than wholesale — interchange plus network assessments — but everything above that is their markup. Enter one month's numbers and your rough card mix, and we will estimate the markup sitting on top of wholesale.

Defaults are a rough guess for a typical counter-service business. Your statement's interchange detail section shows your real mix — the closer the sliders are to reality, the better the estimate.

What “wholesale” means here

The wholesale floor is built from published 2026 Canadian interchange rows we have verified against the networks' own documents — currently the Mastercard Canada table effective August 1, 2026. Rows we have not yet verified against a network-published document are excluded from the floor, and the page tells you which. Network assessments are still pending verification, so the floor is interchange-only — which makes every markup estimate on this page conservative (it reads slightly high, never low).

Already know your effective rate? Compute it precisely, or look up any published rate in the interchange table.
